John Wick star Keanu Reeves is set to
receive the Vanguard Award at this year’s CineCon in Las Vegas. CineCon
is the official convention of The National Association of Theatre Owners
(NATO) and will be held from April 11 – 14, 2016 at Caesars Palace.
“With just shy of three decades of roles in both blockbuster and
critically acclaimed films, Keanu Reeves has brought moviegoing
audiences such memorable films as ‘Dangerous Liaisons,’ ‘Bill &
Ted’s Excellent Adventure,’ ‘Point Break,’ ‘Speed,’ ‘The Matrix’
trilogy, and ‘John Wick,’ to name just a few,” said Mitch Neuhauser, Managing Director of CinemaCon. “His
work on the big screen will continue to captivate audiences when he
returns as John Wick in ‘John Wick: Chapter 2,’ and we could not be more
honored to present him with this years ‘CinemaCon Vanguard Award.’”
Reeves will receive the top honour in person at the CinemaCon Big
Screen Achievement Awards ceremony taking place the evening of Thursday,
April 14, at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace. The actor appeared in Exposed (above) earlier this year, and next year will reprise the role of Wick in John Wick: Chapter 2
